Strengths and Limitations

As far as looks are concerned, Ring Fit Adventure knows how to make a strong impression. Personally, I adore the visual look of the game with its stylized characters and lush backgrounds. Your main character's expressions can be a little goofy at times, but overall, Ring Fit Adventure is a colorful journey worth seeing through. What helps is that the music really helps to sell the world. The Fit Battle theme is one of my favorite tunes this year, and easily makes my head bop while choosing attacks. Game ring fit adventure If you don’t remember the Wii Fitness craze, here’s a refresher. In November 2006, Nintendo launched the Wii, the successor to Nintendo’s GameCube console. Everyone was predicting the end of Nintendo as flashy new consoles from Microsoft and Sony came out. And yet the Wii’s use of motion controls changed console gaming. Instead of working out your thumbs, you could move your arms around to play games. In 2008, Nintendo followed up with Wii Fit, which combined innovative hardware (the Wii Fit Balance Board and the Wii Fit Meter) and a set of games that let you track your weight, do yoga and calisthenics, and play mini games that got you moving your legs and your arms.

Once you’re set up, the game will calibrate the level of difficulty based on your age, given level of physical fitness, and strength testing results from squeezing the included resistance ring. From there, Ring Fit Adventure welcomes you into a turn-based roleplaying game world where squats, planks, yoga poses, and strength exercises with the ring are turned into attacks on enemies. True to the genre, your character levels up, acquires better equipment, and learns new and more powerful moves. The game balances your loadout, but players are free to focus on whichever skills (exercises) they want. The difficulty can also be adjusted at any time. Subscribe to Our Newsletters! The game comes with two pieces of equipment: A ring and a leg strap. The game walks you through how to wear and use these pieces appropriately using a model named “Tipp”. I found the instructions very easy to follow.
